This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can operate strategically while remaining hands-on, bringing structure and scalability to a dynamic environment. We’re looking for a proven leader with a strong technical foundation who thrives in high-growth CPG settings and can build efficient processes without losing agility. Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
- Drive the month-end close, consolidation, and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Develop, refine, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Partner with external auditors and manage annual audit processes
- Collaborate closely with FP&A; on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Assess, implement, and optimize ERP and other financial systems (Net Suite preferred)
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing accounting team as the business scales
- Deliver clear, accurate, and timely financials to internal stakeholders and PE sponsors Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with leadership in corporate accounting and controllership roles
- Strong public accounting background (Big 4 or large regional firm) required
- Active or inactive CPA license
- Prior CPG or related industry experience, ideally with omni-channel and inventory exposure
- Prior experience in PE-backed or fast-growth environments preferred
- Exceptional communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset Additional Notes: This is a remote role with flexibility, but candidates in Los Angeles or other key markets will be prioritized for periodic in-person leadership meetings.
