Staff Mechanical Engineer (Cusco)

Plans, calculates, designs, develops, tests, and modifies experimental and/or operational mechanical concepts or subsystems. As a Staff Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for: Lead the mechanical design and development of in‑house production automation systems, including CNC modifications, robotics, palletizing stations, and next‑generation vision inspection. Provide technical leadership for mechanical design, layout, and execution of new products and processes. Drive manufacturing automation projects from concept through design, build, validation, and production handoff. Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to support evolving business and industry demands. Develop, maintain, and release complete design documentation, specifications, and records in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Perform final equipment verification and validation prior to production release. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (scientists, manufacturing, controls, quality, operations, and suppliers) to improve processes and support new product introductions. Investigate manufacturing process issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce defect rates and improve yield. Lead projects effectively by planning, prioritizing, and managing schedules, resources, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives.
