- 2+ years of extensive, hands‑on Go (Golang) development, including Go modules, idiomatic package design, goroutines, channels, context, and the standard testing toolchain.
- Advanced English is required.
- Successful completion of a four‑year college degree is required.
- Production experience designing and operating distributed systems.
- Production experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, or equivalent), including delivery guarantees, dead‑lettering, replay, and replication concerns.
- Strong fundamentals in concurrency, parallelism, and synchronization.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes — writing manifests and debugging running workloads, not just consuming a managed platform.
- Experience designing both RESTful and gRPC services.
- Experience establishing testing patterns that a team can adopt and follow.
- Working experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure), including compute, networking, and load balancing.
- Experience contributing to a CI/CD or developer tooling project (Tekton, Argo, Jenkins X, Spinnaker, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Familiarity with CDEvents, CloudEvents, or other event‑driven specification work.
- Experience with workflow orchestration engines (Temporal.io, Cadence, Argo Workflows).
- Experience building or contributing to batch or real‑time stream processing systems.
- Contributions to open‑source projects — linkable history is a plus.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript — the current Conduit proof‑of‑concept is built in Node.js.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or comparable observability stacks.
- SQL performance and stored procedure design experience for stateful distributed services.
- ETL or multi‑source data integration experience.
- Specific experience with Google Cloud (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Load Balancing, IAP).
- Public technical writing, conference talks, or specification authoring.
- Experience working in or alongside teams using languages other than your primary stack.
- Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
- Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
- Forensic attention to detail.
- A positive mindset and a can‑do attitude.
- Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams.
- Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
