MEDLIFE is a non-profit organization that partners with low-income communities in Latin America and Africa to improve their access to medicine, education, and community development projects. Our mission is to build a worldwide Movement empowering the poor in their fight for equal access to healthcare, education, and a safe home. Our vision is a world free from the constraints of poverty. MEDLIFE works with students from around the world in order to broaden their perspectives and better equip them to advocate for social justice.
Our idóneo Freelance Field Doctor
We’re looking for a passionate advocate who has an immediate connection to our mission and vision. We need storytellersthat can elevate the voice of community members in developing countries. We need community organizers, who will rally groups together to fight for our cause, make positive connections, and build relationships with ease. We need problem solversthat can turn challenges into growth opportunities. A doctor with a passion for social impact and who identifies with our organization’s purpose. Able to multitask in a fast paced environment. If you want to make the world a better place, we need you.
About the role
We’re looking for a new talent to work hand in hand with volunteers, staff, and communities, and provide healthcare services to low-income patients at MEDLIFE Mobile Clinics in vulnerable communities in Lima. By achieving that, you will contribute to one of MEDLIFE core focuses by providing access to quality health to low-income patients.
What will your day-to-day look like at MEDLIFE?
- Provide outpatient medical care to patients in mobile medical campaigns (in vulnerable communities in Lima) to be carried out 3 times a week or as required.
- Issue the pertinent medical prescriptions according to the patient's diagnosis.
- Supervise a small group of volunteers who will assist and shadow you during Mobile Clinics.
- Complete and present the report of patients attended following Postúlate en Kit Empleo: kitempleo.pe/empleo/y1x97
